The Grand Ole Opry is famous the world over. Since 1925, when it was first aired as a radio barn dance, The Grand Ole Opry has been a weekly country music stage concert. Formerly housed in Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry became large enough to warrant its own stage and has called the Grand Ole Opry House home since 1974.
These days, the Opry is in such high demand that they have multiple shows per week between the months of March and October. In any given show, you will be treated to performances by a number of musicians and bands ranging from classic country favorites to current chart toppers. During the holiday season, the Opry House is also home to Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes. The Grand Ole Opry House is about 20 minutes from Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel. Indulge yourself into the world of country music at Grand Ole Opry and also enjoy other exciting things to do in Nashville.
